Measuring a staircase accurately is crucial for creating a precise digital CAD drawing prior to fabrication. Digital templating enables us to capture the dimensions of the staircase with high accuracy and efficiency.  To begin the process, we position the templating device at the base of the staircase. The system uses a tracing mechanism to record the measurements as we move along each step and riser. It captures both vertical and horizontal dimensions, allowing for a detailed representation of the staircase’s geometry.

Once the measurements are collected, the device converts the data into a digital format, generating a CAD drawing that reflects the exact specifications of the staircase. This digital drawing serves as the foundation for the fabrication process, ensuring that all components will align perfectly during assembly.  By employing digital templating for this task, we streamline our workflow, reduce the potential for human error, and enhance the overall accuracy of our staircase fabrication.
